ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Toby Tatum is a member of the International Business Brokers
Association, (from which he has earned the designation Certified
Business Intermediary), The M & A Source, the world's largest
networking organization of Business Transaction Intermediaries
specializing in the sale of midsize private companies, the Institute
of Business Appraisers and the Institute of Certified Business
Counselors from which he has earned the designation Certified
Business Counselor.
Mr. Tatum obtained his Bachelors Degree in Management from Sonoma
State University and his Masters Degree in Business Administration
from San Francisco State University. Additionally, Mr. Tatum has
completed numerous courses on the valuation of privately owned
businesses, has passed the Institute of Business Appraisers examination
for the Certified Business Appraiser credential and is well founded
in both the theory and practical application of this skill.
He is an experienced speaker on topics including the selling and buying of businesses, business management, and strategic planning. The author has published articles in newspapers and trade journals and is currently a columnist for the Reno Gazette-Journal writing about the selling, buying and valuation of small businesses.
